These were put up a month after the May event,
followed by her UK Tour which was covered almost
real time by us at:

Within a few weeks, it was announced that
Clare would return in the fall as Glory.
Which she did initially 9/24/02 in "Lessons".

In the interim she had a number of interviews,
including one that referenced out site. By all
her guarded hints, she expects to be a major
player in the Buffy Season-7 Theme end game, along
with her BIO friend Eliza Dushku (Faith).

SATURDAY ~ Bonbons, Tacos and Being Pantless?

They work well together, and smile warmly at the audience.
...
A member of the audience compliments them before she asks, "How much
time do you go about getting into character and go about getting back
into Elizabeth and Clare?"
Clare answers first, "Glory was quite a character.
Once I got her
mannerism and stuff down it was really easy for
me to slip into just
the whole feeling and presence of her. Getting
out of her was a
little harder.
"My friends were like, 'You're awfully bitchy
this year.' 'I'm sorry,
it's my work.' But you just learn to let go of
it and sometimes it
takes a little longer than others."
...
As for Clare, her favourite line is from the 100th Episode,
"'You
lost your hammer sweet cheeks, what are you gonna
hit me with now?'
And then she hit me with the wrecking ball, but
that was one of my
favourite lines. There's so many good lines,
the writers are really
generous with their words".
And her favourite scene, "Although I was freezing!"
Her favourite
scene she says, "Would've had to have been the
bathtub scene because
it was just a lot of fun to have all the minions
there and the
drinking and the chocolates, which I was actually
drinking and
eating." [i.e., "Mimosa, vitamins"- Gloriana]
This raises a cheer and some laughter. Someone comments about the
great wardrobes that the girls had in the show...

Part way through the session, Clare is just about to tell us if she
thinks there is any chance of Glory returning to Buffy,
when she gets
handed a gold box with a pair of very brief items
of underwear for
her and Eliza [Dushku], which
just goes to show that some con go-ers
are more than a tad unhinged it seems.
Thankfully, she takes it all in her stride, "I
have a feeling",
beginning to answer, "ahhh!" and then,
"Woo Hoo, I love them! Thank
you, I will definitely pass the other pair onto
Eliza and we will
wear them out."

Elizabeth exclaims, "Oh My God!" and then both
the girls double up
with laughter. As you can imagine there
are plenty of hoots from the
audience too!

Next comes the inevitable question to Clare, "You're one of the
actresses of being in the very enviable position of putting James
Marsters down on the bed and being on top of him, was it fun?"
Clare is very sporting as she answers, "Oh yeah!
I just wish I had
more scenes with him. He's a really sweet guy
to work with and he's
hot so that never hurts. And that scene was a
lot of fun and the
director kept being like, 'Okay one more take'
and I wasl ike,
'That's fine'."
...
Have you ever been asked any strange questions?" Elizabeth
laughs, "Yeah, what utensil would I be? Fork ."
So of course someone has to ask, "Clare, what's your utensil?"
Her response, a mock glare and, "Fork",
producing lots of
laugher all round. As for future projects, Clare has a film coming
out, the prequel to American Psycho called The Rules of Attraction,
which will be out around September. And another film called The
Mallory Effect.

SUNDAY ~ Love, Stunts and the Dance of Joy
First up is the group photo shoot. Linda's hair has gone bananas so
she gives up all hope of taking a decent photo - "Just as well!" she
says, "The results of this jaunt will remain forever sealed in a lead
lined box and buried at the end of the garden."
Both Swoop and Linda join the queue and sit patiently waiting to be
shuffled along until it's their turn. When Swoop pops in amongst the
guests Clare states, "Look at those arms!"
Swoop does sport the athletic type bod and she replies to
Clare, "It's what 10 years of rugby will do to you."
"Good for you."
...

Someone asks how they feel their characters fit into the whole
metaphor of the Buffyverse, Clare comments that in playing Glory she
found it really challenging because, "Glory is
so dissatisfied with
everything around her - she can't get what she
wants and she's never
happy with what she's got and she doesn't deal
with that very well".
...
Clare reveals one of her most embarrassing moments.
She was going out
with some friends - they were shooting pool in
a bar, and she decided
she wanted to sit down. So she pinched a stool
from behind a guys
back...as he then proceeded to sit down, he didn't
look behind him,
and landed straight on his ass.
Clare, feeling really guilty, asked if he was
ok but it didn't go
down to well because she couldn't stop laughing!
...
Last up is Clare who is chatting and laughing
with everyone in her
usual relaxed manner, while busy signing away.
She tells us she has
paced herself better this con, rather than partying
herself ragged
on the Friday night like she did back in November!
...
Either way, they kept us entertained with tales of other guests from
past events (most notably Star Trek and Stargate), showing no end of
gracious hospitality by sharing Clare Kramer's
Jaffa Cakes with us
too!
Ha! Apparently US folks have no experience of the godlike chocolate-
covered, orange jelly filled, squashy cookie treats we gorge
ourselves over here at any and every opportunity.
Just as we have finished wiping the choccie from our guilty faces
than who walks over? Clare! She's all smiles
and doesn't see us hide
the remains of our sneaky feast.
She's smiling as always and stops for a
natter (chat). It's funny,
but it's only when
you're close up that you realise just how
petite some of these actresses are;
Clare is a tiny waif of a thing, though gorgeous-looking
with a huge
friendly smile that makes up for any lack of
stature. She tells us
her arm is aching from all the signing.

Gloriana comments-
We commented on this back last year when we we doing the
captures from the BIO DVD. Noting that it was probably a
factor in getting the Glory role,(initially
"Cherry", per
her TV Zone interview we transcribed for Clare News),

Also when we got her ROA clothes in recently from Lions Gate,
her blouse (a smallish Size 1), yet seeming a good fit in the
fuzzy image, looks almost like a child's top.

stretchy.

Clare makes up for it also with long legs (per the pants
from ROA), or she'd be another diminutive Emilie de Ravin/
Olsen Twin.

At 8pm, the Closing Ceremony takes place in the main hall, so we all
squish ourselves into every space available to listen to each guest
in turn telling us that they have genuinely had a blast.
Julie and Stephanie are close to tears. Julie makes the remark that
its really pretty funny that the two most evil characters on the
show are bawling. J resplendent in a huge floppy Union Jack hat is
also close to tears!
Amy s still beaming an enormous grin and cannot thank us enough for
making her weekend so wonderful. Jeremy is likewise spirited in
delivering his thanks, as are Clare and Elizabeth.
The applause from both sides -- guests and attendees alike --
lasts for a very long time!
The end of the convention weekend has come far too quickly, so once
again we sadly have to say goodbye to all seven of the wonderful
guests who have travelled over all this way from the USA to spend
another fun-packed weekend with us.
As usual Starfury have done the amazing job of pulling fantastic
guests out of a very diverse hat.

AFTERWORD-
Of course, Clare left the next morning by car & driver for Northern
Ireland to start her 11 day UK bookstore tour. On her way back, she
stopped in Delaware, Ohio and was the commencement speaker
for her HS alma mater Rutherford B. Hayes 2002 graduating class.
A few weeks later it was announced she was tapped to resurrect Glory
for Buffy Season-7, starting a new round of interviews during the
summmer.
She provided new details of her childhood and more in the interview
where our site was mentioned.
