DTLS Foreword: This work is a narrative work (# 2 of a Trilogy) that starts out as a Day in the Life
of birthday girl, Clare Elizabeth Hall, the Queen of the Pantheon.
She's forgotten, due to the constantly changing relationship to the
dimension she was born in (ours). A party is being secretly planned for her.

At breakfast, she and her roommate Tess take direct action with
the annoying Buffy-Anne and her cohort, Patsy, for using portal
belts within the palace. Neither supergirl is a god, with innate teleport/
                                 portal capability.

In an in-between place, Clare and Tess, a super-god and new god, respectively,
perform a brutal body cavity search on the two hapless supergirls.

Later, Clare agrees to let Tess bestow the new girl (Maria from Lost Roswell)
to supergirl in their suite. Clare watches and then goes on a little inspection
tour of their home, Glory's palace. On Glory's world, a planet orbiting a star Glory
calls Bright. Located in the Small Magellanic galaxy, a satellite galaxy of our
Milky Way galaxy. Glory's World is 170,000 LY from earth.

During a mock god-duel with Tess (Roswell Rose) something is triggered that tosses
both back in time to the original unfurnished Palace. After some battles with in-between
creatures, Clare opens a portal to almost as ancient earth (Cretaceous period). For reasons
                                that mystify Tess.

There they meet Manaka, who's been tracking her lost sister Curupira for a long time.
They bond and look for food. Tess kills a raptor, which tastes like chicken,  or turkey,
depending on whether they eat light or dark meat. Still they wait. For no obvious reason.

Meantime, the other Tess (Lost Roswell) and the newest supergirl, Maria, find traces of
Clare & Tess' sudden departure. They figure out a way to get Tess to jitter in time and
do a slow motion version of a time portal. One of Clare's adopted teen hybrid girls, Angie,
a supergirl, jumps in after them and they eventually arrive at the Original Palace.

Trapped there, because Tess is not powerful enough to open any portal to ancient earth
without refilling her depleted magic reservoirs. If even then, since she's not a super-god
like Clare, Glory & Holly. Normally food would supply the energy. But the world is barren,
                                and lifeless. Not even vegetation.

Maria eventually discovers a tunnel complex under the palace and a magically warded
area. She and Angie use their powers to dig  to the room so Tess can drain the energy
of the powerful wards. The glowy green Key is on a stand in the room when Tess finishes.
Maria also discovers relatively fresh high heel tracks in the tunnel dust.

When Tess tries to use the Key's energy to open a jittery portal to ancient earth, they instead
wind up in an Anunnaki palace about 14,000 B.C. The god Inanna's body is hanging on a gibbet.
(This is also noted in several extant long Sumerian poems about her death and resurrection
by a mysterious agent). Also present is Klar, the pregnant First Sukkhal who wrote the ancient
prophetic song in "Blood Road". She also was the super-girl hybrid assassin who killed Inanna.

There are fights, Inanna's resurrection, vows of revenge and the passing of the Key to the
Sukkhal. Now Tess is able to use the Key's energy to get to the Cretaceous. There
they find the other Tess, Clare & Manaka. Finally Clare takes them home to the modern Palace,
after dropping the pregnant Sukkhal Klar off in the Americas to birth her first surviving successor,
Kali. (Note that the name Kali has legends about it in many cultures.) The last Sukkhal
god-killers were met by Tess and Isabel in L.A. in "Blood Road". Kali and Klar had by then
drifted into being spelled Callie and Clare, in the more recent generations.

While Tess deduces what Clare had planned long ago, a visitor comes calling in the Glory
Hall apartments end of the Sunnydale portal. Who it is amazes some, satisfies others.
They all surprise Clare with her birthday party and cake.

But all the loose ends that threatened the existence of the Pantheon in time are now seemingly
under control. After 8 years of coordinated work by Clare and Glory on both ends of the threats.

Part 1: "Breakfast"'

The noise was annoying.

Clare opened one eye and saw another inches away.
Big and gray.
Wide pupil.
Blinking once.

'What now?,'  she muttered, and pulled the pillow up on both sides to shut out any sound.
But she couldn't.

The eye was replaced by Bright light on her. The curtains were drawn from over the
magically glassless windows on both sides of their big bed.

[Ed- 'Bright' is the name of the star 'Glory's World' orbits. It is in the Small Magellanic galaxy that
is a satellite of our much larger galaxy. It is 170,000 LY from earth. The permanent portal between
Glory's palace and the Sunnydale Glory Hall apartments was first opened by Glory in
           "Comprehension".]

"Wake up sleepy-head!" Tess sang out again, annoyingly cheerfully. She bounced
on the edge of the bed with her butt to shake Clare some more.

"What the hell is that noise?" Clare asked, still holding her eyes shut and the pillow
pulled over both sides of her head.

"Noise?", Tess tilted her head and listened. " Oh, you better turn down your hearing a bit,
Sweetie. It's just some of the girls out before breakfast playing ping-pong on the docks.
Y'a know, barehanded with billiard balls. Like we did last week..."

"Why now? " Clare groaned, as she tuned down the sensitivity of her magically enhanced
god senses. It was still annoying. Both the wooden clicks as each ball hit the stout dock
and the metallic slaps as a supergirl's invulnerable hand smacked the high-speed pool balls.

From the sound there were at least 4 girls involved, and at least 8 balls in play.
The game could only be played with some minor level of superspeed, also.

Tess bounced on the bed again, her feet on the floor. "Who knows? Who cares?"
she laughed. She'd really cheered up since coming here with blood on her hands
back in the later spring. Being surrounded with admiring supergirls and gods in the
fabulous Palace was so different than being the lone outcast in Roswell for so long.

[[Ed- 'See "Bye-Bye Roswell, Really" for Tess' arrival and subsequent slayings of  Liz, Max & Michael
in Sunnydale. After Liz' attempted murder of Tess & baby Zan.]

Just waking up with her baby nearby was enough to start her singing these days.
And Clare made it so easy. Being a new god was fun, fun, fun.

Clare made an effort and opened both eyes.
Releasing the protective pillow.

She groaned.

Not enough sleep after the expenditure of all that magical energy to collapse at its source
the latest rogue splinter dimension she'd found. She'd rescued and saved the splinters
of Buffy, Dawn, Curupira and Glory in some bizarre variation of reality where something
was coming 'From beneath, to Devour'.

Turned out to be just a quick godly snack for her, though.

The memories of it would be with the three now that she'd rejoined the rogue dimension back at the
tower in 2001. It was a chore to find all the little pieces of Glory that created rogue parallel dimensions
anytime she was apparently defeated or presumed dead.

Even Glory didn't know why it happened.
Like the creation of the original 4 dimensions from the baby Ben episode.

'Course those were full-fledged full-sized dimensions. With Glory lookalike clones all over the
place. Like herself. But this last one was barely planet-wide. No Clare clones, just a wily, outrageous
Glory and and a Plan-B.

The typical Plan-B Clare had been a part of here.

Get a new female host pregnant.
Birth a god-body.
Quick-grow it someway.
Get full godly powers back.
Save the world with some spectacular slaughtering.
Get rewarded.

Would've worked too, Clare had concluded.

Worked for me.
With a different spin though.
Mommy also got godhood.

[[Ed- 'See #1 of this Trilogy "Parthenogenesis of Perish" about Dawn's sudden pregnancy
via that splinter of Glory inside her. And the revelation of who was really the host of the evil
           that was supposed to Devour.]

"Tired are we?" Tess turned abruptly and kissed her lightly on the mouth. She stayed close,
savoring Clare's godly presence, the wondrous scent of honeysuckle and roses that
leaked through her cloaking as a tiny sliver of her dramatically powerful god-glamour.

And left a signal that she was to be worshiped and obeyed - though to a supergirl or god
that was usually ignorable. But still delicious to sense.

"I could," Tess offered, " give you a big pile of magic energy for your magic reservoirs."

Clare pulled the diminutive blonde close, lightly and gently.

"You know better, Honey." Clare became motherly. "I could drain you to a wisp of yourself
... do you know how I got so drained?"

Tess' eyes shone bright with excitement and admiration. Plus a tinge of the adoration
Clare's four daughters displayed  - for the few seconds a day one or the other wasn't in
trouble with their Mom.

"Uh-huh," she said. "It's all over the palace." Tess then related her version of what Clare
had done. Obviously from the viewpoint of the new memories of Dawn. Since Buffy, Glory
or Curupira would not be so open about such things.

"'More impossible things, courtesy of Clare,' they say."

Tess was no stranger to impossible feats.
And she couldn't take her eyes off her roommate now.

"Pretty much right," Clare agreed. She pulled the cover back and freed
her long fair legs. Then swung the pillow at the nearby Tess.

That did it!

Tess returned fire with the other pillow. Clare dodged a bit and stood
up on the bed, as did Tess. They pounded one another at any opening
until the cloth came apart and goose down filled the room like soft snow.

Slowly they clasped fingers together at arms length.

"You know that I can't conceive of being any place but here in the
palace with little Zan and the other girls, dontcha?" Tess said huskily.

"I get that distinct impression, " Clare pretended disinterest.

"And I love being your roommate," Tess became a bit coy.
"Especially since Ava & Ava took Zan last night and this morning."

"Do tell?" Clare simulated more aloofness.

Persisting, Tess spread her arms wide, until both girls were almost, but not,
touching at the breasts.  She was looking up at the several inches taller Clare.
Blonde hair spilling between them.

"We haven't had a Tantric Bestowal  for weeks," Tess said earnestly.
"I had one recently with Ava...your Ava..."

Clare became interested. "Really?" Ava had been her roommate for
years and the primary tutor for Gloriana, and now Inanna. And a
quiet, loving girlfriend.

"She shared the time she did it with...that Kyle...in the kitchen in the Glory Hall apartments...
before she left to with your girls to find Alex, Ava & Lonnie."

[Ed-  This is in the one of the latter parts of  "Bye-Bye Roswell, Really", at the Gottin-Milch breakfast.]

Clare thought about this. Ava had been pretty quiet about that, being preoccupied with the details
of her own impossible pregnancy. And how had she managed to delay conception until she
got the egg from the other Ava in her?

Tess continued provocatively, "Ava was very aggressive. Wanna see how she got the..."
she made an open-mouthed face... Clare got it instantly.

And that really did it!

They came together in the now classic Dawn/Buffy-Anne 5-point contact and froze for the bestowal
pose. Interlocked hands outstretched. Clare kissed  an eager Tess  and they moved instantly into
the virtual reality of a full Tantric Bestowal between gods.

[Ed-  Buffy-Anne, (also called B-A, is Glory's adopted daughter), the real girl extracted from the Bot by the
Roswell Rose Tess in "Three Days in Sunnydale", invented the Tantric Bestowal virtual reality
with Dawn later in the same work. B-A and the 'Roswell Rose' Tess are considered the most advanced
in understanding and manipulating the Anunnaki super-magic technology (based on artificial god-DNA),
              as in the starships.

Both designed and had built  the decisive little crescent fighting ships and weapons used in
"Bye-Bye Roswell, Really" and "War!" Among many other contributions to the Pantheon and to Glory's
galactic-conquering fleets of surrendered and much upgraded starships. The 3  they personally
use the most (Glory's massive "Glory Always,", Dawn's "Glory Triumphant" & Clare's "Clare Declared"
are monstrous vessels, yet are now fully automated and flyable by one individual. This is the work of
B-A & Tess. Wiring is not used in the ships. It's mostly micro-portal technology.

Note: The mass of the mile long cylindrical "Always" is 200 million metric tons, the 1,000  foot diameter
globular "Declared" is 2 million metric tons, and the 800 foot thick triangular "Triumphant" is about
1 million metric tons. The crescent ships are about 50 feet long/wide and 250 metric tons, about twice that
of the space shuttle. Max speed of the later crescents is 10 c (10X light speed). They can portal at any
speed out to about 4 LY at a pop. The large mother starships have 5X light speed, but can't portal
except below light speed. Their maximum portal capability, unaided by a supergod's magic, is
about 5,000 LY at a pop. With Clare or Glory (the re-creatrix god Holly is not involved in any spacecraft
activities) supergod magic, this can be extended to 200,000 LY or more at a pop. This is across the galaxy, or
directly to Glory's world at 170,000 LY. Clare combined her magic to do a one pop portal to a planet
in the Andromeda galaxy in the chasedown of Inanna in "Inanna's Revenge". This was about 2,000,000
                      LY. The record.

Incidentally, the propulsion or all these craft, and the Gallu (grays) saucers, are revealed force drives
(emulating macro & micro gravity) powered by far-transuranic fission mini-reactors or mega-farad
electrically initiated micro-fusion reactors. Star Trekish anti-matter power does not technically exist,
since the only demostratably mutually self destructive anti-'particles" are positrons & electrons.
Quietly ignored  was a 1999 (?)   proton/anti-protron streams interaction in an accelerator that failed
to generate any mutual annihilation with the production of gamma ray photons.

More on this and similar technology weapons is in "War!".]

And relived Ava's kitchen experience, with each taking turns as Ava from Ava's point of view.
While the other shared and commented on the very real experience. In many ways, because
of the sharing and ability to comment, these bestowals were more real than real sex.

As long has there were real experiences to share.
And Ava's was one to savor, in more ways than one.

That she'd shared this one with Tess was an honor.
And now it was Clare's to share with another.
The kind of sharing that welded the Pantheon girls together.
...

Afterward they were clingy and quiet.

"Never knew Ava was like this with a guy...any guy," Clare mused as they stood arm in arm
and watched the sort of birds flying over the lake shore. The girls had gone back inside for breakfast
and the billiard balls lay scattered across the grass and sand. Some split by too aggressive
a supergirl's hand.

"Though I guessed she did something ... and used stasis to preserve... " Clare then looked around
and idly gestured to gather the goose down into one pile, then launched them into one of the ubiquitous
filtered, mazed waste portals.

[Ed-  Clare's waste portals were first detailed in "Time of Transition". Including their humorous destinations]
